Senior Partner, Galadari Advocates & Legal Consultants
Biography:
Abdulla Ziad Galadari is the principal driving force behind the growth strategies of many private and public organizations across the UAE, which continuously develop under his leadership. He is a key influencer across the UAE, supporting a diverse range of businesses and senior dignitaries, helping them to navigate its legal framework. Abdulla has been recognized by The Legal 500 as a ‘Leading Individual’ in the region.
In addition to his technical and professional remit, he is the architect behind the firm’s progressive approach by introducing innovative technology to the profession and building on the firm’s 40-plus-year legacy by introducing international lawyers and accelerating the firm’s reach through its thought leadership and ever-growing network. In June 2022, Abdulla launched the firm’s Fintech practice, following the growth of the financial technology sector in the UAE. The aim of this newly launched practice is to present legal solutions in areas many financial technology firms are challenged with, including cryptocurrency regulations.
Cryptocurrency regulation is vital to ensure the market offers protection to investors. Abdulla, alongside his team of market-leading lawyers, is often requested to draft and amend UAE laws and hold excellent relationships with regulations. His track record of involvement in updating the UAE’s laws places him in a pole position when advising private clients and financial technology companies on legal matters related to cryptocurrency, including legal interpretation, and the approach adopted by regulators in securing compliance at local and federal levels.
Taking further pride in his position as a leading legal professional, Abdulla has been a key driving force behind supporting leading legal professionals to continue their development through the initiation and execution of the collaboration with the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department, leading a team to create, develop and deliver a series of locally accredited Continuing Legal Professional Development (CLPD) courses.
Abdulla actively supports the young Emirati leaders of tomorrow through internship programmes and training contracts for new graduates, enabling over 30 Emirati lawyers to obtain a federal lawyer’s license, and growing the UAE’s in-house professional capabilities.
