The fourth TMRW Conference moves to Malta: three days of keynotes, debates, live demos and workshops on artificial intelligence, games and robotics. Venue, dates and the first speakers reach the notify list before anyone else.
Three curves are bending at the same time. Money is going into AI at a rate no industry has seen; humanoid robots have left the lab and clocked their first real factory shifts; games are the largest entertainment business on the planet and the place where AI meets people first. Edition 04 is built where the three meet.
The chatbot year is over. Companies are buying agents that plan, act and report back, and the spend behind them is unprecedented.
Five million robots already work in factories. The new chapter is humanoids: priced like a car, shipping in the thousands and on the line at carmakers.
Bigger than film and music combined, and the first mass market where generative AI, agents and virtual worlds are tested on real people every day.
Edition 04 puts artificial intelligence, games and robotics side by side: the models, the play and the machines, and the people building all three. The full programme arrives with the speaker reveal.
Generative models, agents and the companies putting them to work: from the first pilot to software that acts on its own.
Where AI meets play: game studios, esports, iGaming and virtual worlds, on the island that hosts one of Europe’s largest gaming industries.
Humanoids, drones and industrial arms, demonstrated on stage and on the demo floor instead of described in slides.
Home to one of the largest iGaming and game-tech clusters in Europe, with a dedicated gaming regulator and a digital innovation authority.
English is an official language and Malta has been in the EU since 2004: no friction for European guests, easy for everyone else.
Direct flights from the major European hubs into Malta International Airport, and the whole island is a 30-minute drive.
Around 300 sunny days a year, a UNESCO-listed capital and a waterfront made for side events and the official afterparty.
Malta has run one of the largest regulated gaming industries in the world for two decades: 302 licensed companies, 6.3% of the economy and a regulator the rest of Europe benchmarks against. The next bet is video games and esports.
A national vision targets growing game development from 0.1% to 1% of GDP within ten years, with up to 3,000 new jobs, grants of up to €200,000 per game, R&D tax credits and start-up financing. ESL Pro League has a multi-year home on the island, more than 20 Maltese studios showed at gamescom 2026, and Sliema-based 4A Games is building its flagship Metro 2039 for 2027. The same authority that regulates AI under the EU AI Act runs a 2026–2030 plan to make Malta an AI testbed.
